Freedom

This post isn't about the kids. I know, I know, first of all, you are surprised I am even making a post, and it isn't even about my two cute boys.

Today I was driving up the road and I saw this billboard, a freedom from religion foundation billboard, and it caught my eye. It said "Praise Darwin," and was labeled with their website. I have been thinking all day that when they say "freedom from religion" they mean Christianity. So, why might I ask, do they say religion instead of Christianity? So, I went to their sight and I took a look. Sure enough, it is all about "saving our nation from Christianity."

While there I took a "how well do you know the Bible? quiz, and I had to stop, because even though they say they know a lot, they know nothing, half of the answers that they asked didn't even have a correct answer, so I had to quit. It drives me nutso, to say the least that people act like they know what Christianity is about, when they know so little. I don't act as if I know what Muslims completely believe, or Hindus or Buddhists...so please stop acting like you know what I BELIEVE, or what the Bible really says...about true Freedom, about being set free from sin, from religion, because it isn't a religion, it's a relationship.

He's Here!

Caden Michael Shores was born Friday, October 24th at 5:08pm weighing 9 pounds and 20 inches long! We had a safe and quick delivery and are excited to be home and getting back into the swing of things!!

Spiderman!!

Billy is in love with everything Spiderman. We have gone through phases of Cars, Airplanes, Elmo, Curious George, Trains and well...now Spiderman. We have Spiderman shoes, Spiderman gloves and hat, and now we are going as Spiderman for Halloween. Today we went to the store and bought his costume. He carried it with such pride. I had to laugh at him when we got home and he HAD to try it on. As soon as we had it on we were back at the computer asking to watch YouTube episodes of it (Yes, even at 2 we know what YouTube is!). Brad thinks it is great that he loves Spiderman and he feeds the obsession as much as he does Billy's interest in sports. I am sure we will not be lacking in anything Spiderman in the coming year. I will post pictures later.

Now, I know that as many of you are reading this you are wondering...When is that baby coming?? I wish I knew. Caden is due tomorrow, but I won't find out anything about when I am being induced until Wednesday afternoon.

Halloween

Brad and I were both busy with work and church tonight, so Billy went to my parents to do some trick-or-treating. He caught on quickly that he needed to open his sack for a treat. He was Baby Darth Vader.
